Description
With 250 hectares and over 550,000 visitors a year, Kolmarden Wildlife Park is the largest zoo in Northern Europe. Main attractions of the park are its Dolphinarium (the largest in Europe), the Safari Park and the bird of prey show. Around the Zoo runs one of the longest cableway in Europe. The cable railway was opened in 1967 on a stretch of three kilometers around the park. The zoo also features a rain forest with tropical birds, reptiles and crocodiles, and an aquarium with coral reefs and hundreds of fish species, including ten sharks. Although the zoo shows mainly wild animals from around the world, he is also the concerned on traditional Swedish farm animals. He holds Rödkullen cattle and the rare Allmogeget goats and Roslagsfar sheep.
