Hjeltnes Gartnarskule (Horticultural College), which was founded in 1901, is the oldest in Norway, and the only one in Western Norway. The college is surrounded by an attractive park which invites for a stroll. It has a lovely park with pretty rose and herb gardens. You may also study the rich variety of plants, flowers and trees, including the collection of old varieties of apple trees.
