Description
Mountain agriculture disappears .. the reason is obvious ... so much work, minimum income. But we believe in the importance of this work, especially for the preservation of the environment, biodiversity and landscape. We continue with passion!
In our family run farm we breed about 20 cows and 75 sheep, some pigs and some extinction-threatened goat breeds. Their milk is directly processed in the small cheese factory on the farm.
We are committed to sustainable farming, according to the principle:
“Less, but better”.
In practice this means that we raise our cattle on pasture and we produce good quality hay to feed them; furthermore we don’t eliminate whey but we use it to feed our pigs and we also make all of our cheese by hand with our own raw milk, according to the old
local traditions.
Like this we preserve all the nutritional value and the delicate flavors of our milk.
You can buy our products directly on the farm, according to the short food supply chain “from producer to consumer”. Come and visit
our farm and enjoy a tasting session of all our products on our new panoramic terrace!
Upon request we are glad to arrange farm-based education programmes for children and adults.
